Proposed Main Text

We like the idea of our music video being shot mostly in the studio, as we would like to use the green screen to create the desired effect.
The main plot of our music video will be based upon the verse in the song,
"Before you met me, I was a wreck but things were kinda heavy, you brought me to life now every February you'll be my valentine."
Our artist is named, "Star" and her brand image, is young, feisty and fun. We want this image to shine through our video. The video will consist of Star getting ready for a date with her boyfriend, different lyrics in the song will link into the performance. We will see Star recieve a text from her boyfriend stating how excited he is to see her tonight, the video will then follow Star's process of getting ready for the date, showing her applying her make up and experimenting will different clothes and acessories.
In the video we will see Star look right into the camera whilst getting ready, acting as if it is a mirror. After carrying out our research on music videos, we liked the idea of Bruno Mars using the webcam to record his video, and this is what we have based our video on.

Our music video will follow Todorov's narrative theory of: equilibrium, disruption, re-equilibrium.

Equilibrium: Star recieving a text from her boyfriend about the date and how excited he is.
Disruption: Struggling to find an outfit gets upset
Re-equilibrium: Finds out fit, goes to front door to find boyfriend waiting with flowers.

We have drawn inspiration for our video from this Bruno Mars video, but also from people who upload their own videos on youtube. Many of these videos are filmed on people's webcams which allow them to be interactive and receive feedback from people all over the world.
