Research: Secondary audience

Although our media text is based on young teenage girls (12-18), we have studied other famous singers that have a secondary audience due the music they produce, this is very common as most singer tend to be young therefore the music they produce have to attract the young generation but also appeal to a broader audience too.

For example, Beyonce is known for her outstanding talent of singing due to the fact her songs are catchy and attract alot of the young people. As well as attracting young people she is a 'gay icon', which many gay people tend to watch and listen to her music.

Another singer who is known for attracting 'gay people' is Adele this is due to the fact that her music is powerful, and something you can listen to day in and day out. Another reason for this is she is real which some singers arent and this is what 'gay' people feel passionate about, Her music is broadcasted all over the world and as well as the 'gay icon' older people tend to listen to her too this is mostly because her songs are slower and they can relate to this, they are also broadcasted on older radio stations such as 'Radio 2, Radio Lancashire' which older population tend to listen to mostly.
